Asian American Leadership Forum
(AALF)
Purpose
Formerly the Chicago Community Forum, the Asian American Leadership Forum
is an opportunity where people from different sectors, industries, and
backgrounds, can come together to share and learn about the differences,
issues, needs, and success in our communities. In its 4th year, the forum
is a unique event because of its extremely diverse attendees who include
new entrants and experts from the corporate, small business, non-profit,
governmental, academic, and student environments. Together, participants
will have opportunities to network, learn about issues and resources,
and engage in skills training and exercises.
More specifically, participants will:
- Engage in interactive exchange with leaders from different communities
and backgrounds;
- Discuss pressing issues facing the APA community within their environment,
Chicago, and nationally;
- Participate in APA training workshops that enhance and enrich their
current leadership framework and skill-sets;
- Create opportunities for APA community members and organizations to
meet and find opportunities for collaboration.
